Hi all, I have to re-install Demeter on my Mojave MacBook (version 10.14.5). X code version 10.2.1 Well it didn't totally worked out…. When I launch either Athena or Artemis, this is what I get (bellow). I also notice I have a new « opt » directory directly on the hard disk (this seems a strange location). Does anybody have an idea about that ? Great to hear from you and sorry for the trouble. Yes, the /opt location is intentional -- this is where the MacPorts project puts files. FWIW, I can get Athena to run on 10.14.5 (with the edit Bruce linked to), but it's not always easy to get it installed and working from MacPorts. Hephaestus seems to run OK. Both have some quirks with some widgets not always responding -- knowing the keyboard shortcuts seems to help. I don't seem to be able to run Artemis effectively/reliably - some of the widgets seem to not respond in ways I don't understand. That may be just me or my installation. Based on sampling from a recent summer school, I think most Mac users are running these programs with Parallels -- the installation is much simpler and all the apps run well. I'm trying to encourage people to start migrating from Athena to Larch's XAS Viewer app --- it is close to a replacement for Athena (and with some improvements, especially for XANES analysis) and works on a Mac. It still has some warts and imperfections, but I'm trying to fix these as quickly as possible. Suggestions welcome! At this point, I don't have anything like a GUI for Artemis and Feff fitting, but suggestions and/or help for that would also be most welcome.... Cheers, --Matt

Hi Matt, Thanks for the update ! I would try Larch with pleasure. Actually we already looked at it, but it was a year ago, must have evolved since then. Cheers, Christophe
