Hi Nirawat, I think I may know what's happening with your laptop. You said:
I personally think it is a problem with my own laptop that Athena column window, which we use to choose the corresponding nominator and >denominator cannot be shown, or may be hidden somewhere else. This led to unsuccessful importing data in my case, therefore, it showed the red >message "You have not used any memory yet" and program cannot be closed.
The Athena data import window seems to have a set size when running in Windows (I don't know about other platforms) and if your screen isn't big enough or you resolution is too low, then the "OK" and "Cancel" buttons will be hidden below the Windows taskbar. As such you won't be able to import the data, and Athena will display the message in red you got at the bottom, have the hourglass cursor, and you can't close it. Try changing the resolution if you can, or moving the taskbar, or moving the data import window as high up your screen as you can. Then you should be able to see and click the import button and process your data on your laptop.
Hope this helps,
Steve

Bruce,
Please accept my apologies for a lack of sufficient information in above email. I have tried to install program in other computer and import those data files, I found that it worked properly as usual!!
I am trying to figure out my laptop problem. Anyway, I gratefully thank for your attempt to assist my difficulties.
Nirawat.

Thank you for your prompt response. I tried to import weird format files, Athena shown a box that said it cannot open those file. It is different from the problem I mentioned above that there was no any box, it just posted with a red messege in the bottom that 'You have not used any memory yet'. I tried with Athemis prj file, too. There was also a box said it cannot open because it seems to be an artemis file. And one more thing, once that red messege appeared, I cannot close Athena window anymore - it seems non-response for closing. Before this, It could open all of these raw data files. But, now it happens to me very strange. However, it can normally import Athena project files, just only the project files, that I have worked and saved. As I often say here on the list, I cannot fix a problem that I cannot replicate on my own computer. What you are describing is completely unfamiliar to me. Unless you can give me an example file to replicate what you are seeing, I won't be able to help you very much.
