[Ifeffit] Ei component

Hi all
       My question is about Ei component taken for the problem of poor
energy resolution. How it can be calculated using measured energy resolution
?  How Ei can be calculated using a known sample, such as a foil for
which we have comparable spectra on a beamline with better energy resolution
?
