Hi Matt,

I think I have some applications that use the Perl library. I have
two folders in that library, 5.8.1 and 5.8.6 and I think that may be
the problem.

I moved 5.8.6 to 5.8.6_SAVE and used the 10.4 dmg installer: the
result is the following message:

stefano% athena
Can't locate Tk.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /sw/lib/perl5
/sw/lib/perl5/darwin
/System/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level
/System/Library/Perl/5.8.6
/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level /Library/Perl/5.8.6
/Library/Perl /Network/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level
/Network/Library/Perl/5.8.6 /Network/Library/Perl .) at
/Applications/Ifeffit/bin/athena line 52.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /Applications/Ifeffit/bin/athena line 52.

So I trashed the /Applications/Ifeffit folder again and tried to
install with the 10.3 dmg (I think that 5.8.6 is used by Tiger): the
result is the same message as above

Then, I changed the name of 5.8.6_SAVE back to 5.8.6 and... I get the
same message that I sent as image in my previous emails.

Please HELP!!!!!!

Stefano
