Re: FEFF Output File Headers

Dear John & Alex,

Since a long time we use a plotting software on Macs and PCs called
Igor (see http://www.wavemetrics.com). The nice thing about it is
that it is wise enough to find in a text file data which can be
plotted skipping the header. I guess that any format suggested could
be interpreted easily by Igor.
Suggestion 5) would be an improvement since the automatic prodedure
of Igor would label the columns like that :

eW e_wrt_edge_ k mu__1_chi__mu0 mu0 chi___

replacing blanks with underscores,etc...

I would like to mention also that T. Sikora and me have build a set
of Unix scripts that would translate xmu.dat in an other format thant
feads directly in the plotting program. It has the advantage of
reading the feff.inp file and keeping all input parameters together
with the result of the calculation in a structured data. We would be
pleased to share these if it is helpful for anybody.

Best,
Gilles
