Dear All, Please consider submitting an abstract to our AGU session on Earth and planetary cores. https://urldefense.us/v3/__https://agu.confex.com/agu/agu25/prelim.cgi/Sessi... The deadline for submission is Wednesday July 30th. The title and abstract are copied below. Thanks! Lowell Miyagi, Guanning Pang, Wei Wang, Ludovic Huguet, and Ruoyan Wang DI014 - The Fate of Terrestrial Planetary Cores: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Structure, Dynamics, and Evolution Buried at the heart of planets, core is its least understood region as our knowledge relies on undirect observations (seismic, geomagnetic, geochemistry). It is characterized by extreme conditions and complex chemistry and dynamics. However, understanding the structure, composition, material properties, dynamical processes, and evolution of the core is crucial for insights into planet formation, geomagnetic field generation, habitability, and more. By integrating seismic imaging, improved spatial and temporal constraints on core dynamo models, laboratory experiments examining material properties under extreme conditions or fluid dynamics, and simulation of complex conditions and dynamics, we continue to gain increasingly comprehensive knowledge of planetary cores. This session invites contributions that investigate the structure, compositions, dynamics, and evolution of Earth’s and other terrestrial planetary cores. We encourage abstract presenting advancements from observational, theoretical, and experimental studies spanning diverse disciplines including, but not limited to, seismology, mineral physics, geochemistry, paleo- and geomagnetism, gravity, geodynamics, and fluid dynamics Lowell Miyagi Professor University of Utah Geology/Geophysics 115 So. 1460 E.
