The Laboratory for Rock Physics at the University of Maryland College Park is looking for a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in experimental rock deformation. The position is initially funded for 18 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and funding availability. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting conventional deformation and in-situ microtomography experiments to investigate the effect of chemo-mechanical coupling on subsurface fracture and fluid flow. Application processes open immediately and close when the position is filled. Apply by sending a resume, a research statement, and two names of references to Dr. Wen-lu Zhu at wzhu@umd.edu. -- Dr. Wen-lu Zhu Professor Department of Geology University of Maryland
