Session description: 1. Topic: Mineral physics properties under extreme conditions to inform interior structure and dynamics of planets 1. Properties: Equation of state, elasticity, texture/plasticity, transport properties, phase transitions, melting behavior, chemical reactions, etc. 1. Experimental approaches: static and dynamic compression, laboratory spectroscopies, synchrotron radiation, X-ray free electron laser, etc. 1. Computational methods: First-principles calculations, molecular dynamics simulations, machine learning techniques, etc. 1. Modeling: Seismic velocity, mass-radius relationship, magma ocean crystallization, oxygen fugacity, gas speciation, core formation, etc. Interdisciplinary studies combining experimental, computational, and modeling approaches are especially encouraged!
