Hello, I have used FEFF 8.4 in my diploma-thesis and now I'm writing some \subsections about FEFF in order to give an overview of "the substructure" (or in other words the models, algorithms, theories,... whereupon FEFF bases) of FEFF. Can you give me some (3 or 4) catchwords regarding the most important modells of FEFF, so that I get a direction for further investigation? I'm a little bit confused with the several descriptions of FEFF and whereupon it's based on (for example some expressions/catchwords I found): ab initio self-consistent real space multiple scattering approach all-electron, real space relativistic Green's function formalism FMS based on LU or Lanczos algorithm high-order path expansion based on the Rehr-Albers MS-formalism Muffin-Tin Potential SCF Hartree-Fock method Dirac-Hara or Hedin-Lundquist exchange model ... In all papers I found, the authors refer to FEFF shortly. Is there a paper directly about FEFF? I hope you understand my request. Thank you very much for your help and time. sincerely yours, Eckhard --------------------------------- Eckhard Bosman e.bosman@stud.uni-goettingen.de +49 (0)551-39-14441 Raum: E0.104 Institut für Röntgenphysik Friedrich-Hund-Platz 1 37077 Göttingen Germany
Hi Eckhard, Have you looked at the FEFF project web-site? (http://leonardo.phys.washington.edu/feff/) The documentation section has manuals for various versions. It also has links to several references and dissertations that should be quite detailed. There is also an extensive list of FEFF related literature references. Cheers, Adam s440697@stud.uni-goettingen.de wrote:
