Hello all, Athena and Artemis have been suddenly crashing lately. There seems to be no single action which causes the crash. I am running on Windows XP Pro with SP3. This has happened only quite recent. Has anyone else experienced this problem? In addition, the autosave does not recover the lost work after crashing? Is question 3 at this FAQ page relevant? http://cars9.uchicago.edu/ifeffit/FAQ/DataPlotting B -- Bruce Ravel ------------------------------------ bravel@bnl.gov National Institute of Standards and Technology Synchrotron Methods Group at NSLS --- Beamlines U7A, X24A, X23A2 Building 535A Upton NY, 11973 My homepage: http://xafs.org/BruceRavel EXAFS software: http://cars9.uchicago.edu/~ravel/software/exafs/
Hi Bruce, No, actually the plot window stays open and continues to work after opening a new instance of Artemis or Athena. There is a slight tendency for crashes to occur when I am opening files whether data or theory. It might just be my computer and I will get in the habit of saving my projects more often. This falls in the category of things I cannot fix unless I have a recipe to replicate it on one of my own computers. If you are able to come up with a reliable recipe for crashing the codes, post it here and I will look into it.
