a question about the white line
Hi, Last week I was asked an interesting question. A long-time ifeffit user was showing A&A to some grad students new to the XAS biz: [An] issue that came up with them as they began to use the software was: Dealing with background substraction from compounds with enormous white lines (Re data). I thought it would be useful to hear comments from people on the mailing list. Any takers? Hi Bruce, Feel free to have them contact me. I have done a lot of Re compounds. Jeff Jeff Terry Biological, Chemical, and Physical Sciences Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago IL 60616 630-252-9708 On Dec 7, 2004, at 2:37 PM, Bruce Ravel wrote:

Hmmm.... The point of a mailing list is to have a public, searchable archive where useful information can be discussed and shared in an open manner. I could have just answered the question myself, but I thought that it was one of broad interest. Thus I had hoped to solicit discussion on the mailing list.
