I'm running OS X 10.8.5. You are the second person in the last few days to report a problem with Wx::ComboBox. I have no idea what the problem is, but I'll look into it and report back to the mailing list when I have more information.
FYI, I can also reproduce this problem on OS X 10.9.2. Demeter 0.9.18.3. Cheers! Frank
