Look for the papers by Irit Sagi. We have done just these types of measurements of edge height to estimate molar density in metal proteins. It works for fluorescence as long as the concentration of absorber is low and the geometry of the experiment does not change between the samples. I am wondering whether the edge height could be used to estimate molar density or not. If so, is there any reference about such kind of calculation? Thanks! Haiyan
