Pedro,
I am currently using Demeter 0.9.23 with a Windows 10 laptop. Compared with Windows 8.1, which I previously used, Window10 is kind of slow, but it still can handle 20-30 spectra without too much trouble. Selecting data points by double click is not a problem, either.
Would be great if you can provide more information, and/or provide the data that you processed. I will see if I can be of any help.

I'm having a lot of trouble in processing my XAS data at Demeter 0.9.22 (and also in ifeffit-1.2.11). Things like selecting points in the data (for example, selecting the point at maximum first derivative) is one of it.
This was discussed recently. See http://millenia.cars.aps.anl.gov/pipermail/ifeffit/2015-September/012703.htm... and the surrounding comments in that thread.
Moreover, when trying to work with a set of data (let say 5 spectra, which is not that much at all), the program crashes ("not responding" appears). I've attempted to install Windows XP together with my Windows 10, but I'm having problems with that, since windows 10 does not allow me to install a VirtualBox to boot Windows XP. What may I do? I'm new to XAS data treatment, and I would like to start practicing my analysis as soon as possible.
You have to give me enough information that I have a fighting chance of understanding the problem. See http://bruceravel.github.io/demeter/pods/bugs.pod.html and in particular the bit about capturing error messages. That said, this seems like a likely candidate for the explanation: http://millenia.cars.aps.anl.gov/pipermail/ifeffit/2015-September/012714.htm... You may not use Kaspersky, but similar behavior might result from any other AV solution. I should mention that I do not have a Windows 10 machine to do my own testing on, nor am I likely to anytime soon. I don't use Windows of any stripe at home and Windows 10 is not yet allowed on the network here at Brookhaven. So if there is a problem specific to Windows 10, it is going to be a hard one for me to address.
