Dear GSECARS Users, I am writing to remind you that the 2023-1 proposal deadline is this Friday, October 28. This is the last run before the APS shuts down for a year, beginning on April 17, 2023. For this run we will attempt to accommodate proposals with compelling reasons to run before the shutdown. These might include, for example, final experiments to collect data for a PhD thesis, or collecting preliminary data for a new funding proposal. Please e-mail Nancy Lazarz and the beamline scientist responsible for the technique you want to use to let us know of such special circumstances. Thanks, Mark Rivers
