This series of videos contains presentations on various aspects of X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS, XAFS, EXAFS, and XANES). These are similar to lectures given at short courses or XAFS Summer Schools. These are targeted at advanced and interested under-graduates, beginning graduate students, and researchers interested in learning about XAS and whether and how it might be useful in their scientific research. The lectures follow the work in Fundamentals of XAFS, Reviews in Mineralogy and Geochemistry 78 (2014) [https://doi.org/10.2138/rmg.2014.78.2] There are many more resources for learning about XAFS, including: https://xafs.xrayabsorption.org Slides used for these talks can be found at Slides for this talk are at https://millenia.cars.aps.anl.gov/videos/FundamentalsOfXAFS/ These videos are also avaiable at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLgNIl_xwV_vIjIC89XpJNZAF--aFlloZx
