ipUnidig supports Industry Pack digital I/O modules.

From SBS

The IP-UD family of digital I/O modules. This family was formerly called the IP-Unidig. There are many models in this family, and most are supported. However, the only model that I have actually tested is the IP-UD-I, (formerly IP-Unidig-I) which is a 24-channel Input/Output model with interrupt support.

From Systran

DIO316I, 48-bit digital I/O module. The software currently only supports 24 bits on this device, and does not support the interrupt feature.

The ipUnidig support is used by the quadEM module that I've written to provide interrupt support for the quadEM VME boards, until those boards have their own native interrupt support.

Installation and Building

After obtaining a copy of the distribution, it must be installed and built for use at your site. These steps only need to be performed once for the site (unless versions of the module running under different releases of EPICS and/or the other required modules are needed).

Create an installation directory for the module, usually this will end with

.../support/
Place the distribution file in this directory. Then issue the commands (Unix style)
```
gunzip ipUnidigRX-Y.tar.gz

tar xvf ipUnidigRX-Y.tar
```
where X-Y is the release.
This creates a <top> application.
```
.../support/ipUnidigRX-Y
```
Edit the config[ure]/RELEASE file and set the paths to your installation of EPICS base and to your versions of mpf and ipac.
Run gnumake in the top level directory and check for any compilation errors.
