Please check Ifeffit archives. I'd posted a spectrum of Cr3C2 several months ago.

Good afternoon,

Does anyone have a Cr2C3 standard scan they could share? I'm looking at stainless steel powder and know that Cr carbide can be used as an additive to combat corrosion.

Thanks!
Anna Wade

Dear Mary,

fortunately HDF5/NEXUS and ASCII would not be mutually exclusive. If we start to use HDF5/NEXUS at the beamline, and I think we have to soon, we can always store an ASCII file with the most important data (energy axis, I0, I1, FluoData etc.) and meta data in parallel. Alternatively, any user could write a short Python (or whatever) script that extracts the important data into an? ASCII file.

There will be a whole session dedicated to the topic of "*Sharing and re-using XAS data"*, where data formats but also meta data (which data, which label etc.) at the Q2XAFS workshop in Melbourne in August this year. Info can be found here:

https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fxrayabsorption.org%2Fq2xafs-2023%2F&data=05%7C01%7Cdogan.paktunc%40NRCan-RNCan.gc.ca%7C7c1ea13143ef43bfeeed08db1b249ac3%7C05c95b3390ca49d5b644288b930b912b%7C0%7C0%7C638133616252025188%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=sCuK1BpjKZJz9LgeyVwz3KwKlWHZMvqOM40GWEX%2FnIo%3D&reserved=0

So, if anyone is interested in this or related topics concerning the broad field of "Quality Assurance" for XAFS spectroscopy, the Q2XAFS will be the place to present and discuss ideas!

Best regards,

Edmund
