I’d install it through macports (ample details in the mailing list archives), but…..

You can, if you’re feeling brave, change this behaviour in the preferences
Preferences -> Security & Preferences -> click the lock and hit the radio button ‘Anywhere’

can’t really recommend the second option though…..
