Hey Fred,

That seems like a likely candidate for the source of the problem.

What is %APPDATA% for you?  What is %APPDATA% for a regular user?  (In
a comand window, type "echo %APPDATA%".)  Demeter expects to be able
to write to that space, so the user needs to have write access.  If it
cannot, it currently does not handle it gracefully.
