Hi Eckhard,

Have you looked at the FEFF project web-site?
(http://leonardo.phys.washington.edu/feff/)

The documentation section has manuals for various versions. It also has
links to several references and dissertations that should be quite
detailed. There is also an extensive list of FEFF related literature
references.
