For what it's worth --- this can be done in Athena fairly easily.
1. Read in your mu(E) data.
2. Using the Group menu, make several copies of that data group.
3. Set Rbkg as desired in each copy.
4. Mark all the copies.
5. Click the purple k or R buttons.
It would be nice to have a way of probing individual parameters for
single groups without explicitly making copies. If anyone pipes up
in support of that idea, I'll throw it on the todo list.
