this list is suffering...
Hi,
I'd like to request that some sort of filtering be placed on the
feffusers list. Lately, much of the traffic has been spam. On the
ifeffit list, Matt set things up so that anyone not registered to the
list cannot make an unmoderated posting to the list. Whenever ifeffit
gets an unregistered posting, either Matt or I has to approve it.
It's proven to be a small amount of work and, as anyone on both lists
can attest, the quality of signal (measured by legitimate posts
compared to spam posts) has been considerably higher on the ifeffit
list than on feffusers.
It seems a shame for me to unsubscribe from the feffusers list, but I
must admit I considered it when the latest 419 scam came down the
pipe.
B
P.S. I notice that some anti-spam processing in the mail header of the
recent 419 scam letter. Perhaps feffusers could at least be
configured to use that.
