Problems with the use of Feff82 on a Silicon Graphics machine
Feffusers,
Up to now, I compiled feff82 with the GNU g77 compiler on LINUX. I only used the flags :
g77 -o feff8.2 feff82.f
and even by using nclusx=200 and lx=2, all was well, except that calculations on my PC
were rather time consuming. Our lab has recently acquired a 4-processors Silicon Graphics
computer. I have compiled feff82 on this machine, using the flag given in Appendix B
(Installation Instructions) of the manual, that is to say:
f77 -Ofast -LNO:opt=0 feff82.f -o feff8.2
All is good during the compilation. The program has been executed with a feff.inp input
file already used on my PC : no trouble with this file occured. A short time after the
begining of the execution on the SG machine, I get a message "segmentation fault".
However, when I add the flag -static, this problem disappears.
I think that problems occur when calling the fms subroutine. Can you give me a piece of
advice ?
Thank you for your help.
Jean-Claude.
