ANNOUNCE: Atoms 3.0beta3
This message is to announce the latest release of ATOMS. The current
release is for Unix, Windows NT, and Windows 2000 and has been
extensively tested on linux and Windows 2000.
The installation package for Unix should build on any Unix system that
has both perl and perl/Tk properly installed.
The installation package for Windows includes an installer and
stand-alone executables of TkAtoms (Atoms with a GUI interface) and a
handy periodic table tool called APT. This version of Atoms for
Windows does NOT require that perl be installed on your system (yay!)
but it does require that you install Matt Newville's Ifeffit.
The Atoms homepage is

Installation instructions for Unix and Windows can be found on the
Downloads page.
Sadly, Atoms is not yet supported for Windows 95, 98, or ME nor for
any version of the Macintosh OS.
Please submit bug reports and feature requests to me at

Regards,
Bruce Ravel
