Dear SEES community, dear colleagues
Eawag, the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology is inviting applications for three positions in an SNSF-funded project on trace element dynamics in periodically waterlogged soils,:
3-year postdoc position in synchrotron-based environmental geochemistry:
https://apply.refline.ch/673277/1228/pub/1/index.html
Two 4-year PhD student positions in environmental soil chemistry:
https://apply.refline.ch/673277/1229/pub/1/index.html
The postdoctoral researcher will develop a microfluidic setup to study redox and trace element transformation reactions in natural soil material in-situ at the microscale using synchrotron X-ray techniques. The two PhD
students focus on seasonal variations in soil reduction upon flooding and selected trace element transformation processes and will also make use of synchrotron X-ray spectroscopy for trace element speciation.
I would appreciate if you could forward this information to potential candidates. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information.
Best regards, Andreas
