Department of Physics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has launched a tenure-track faculty search in materials under extreme conditions. In particular, the search focuses on dynamic compression of materials, laser shock compression and ultrafast diagnostics, and phase transitions in compositionally complex materials under extreme pressures, temperatures, and strain rates.
