2025 SEES-ISRD Joint Meeting

SEES and ISRD invite you to attend our annual meeting to be held jointly at the University of Chicago on August 11-13, 2025. Keynote speakers will discuss topics in rock and mineral deformation and rheological properties in the Earth, and there will be a poster session with a broad scientific focus. All SEES and ISRD researchers are welcome and encouraged to attend. We will share more details by email and through our meeting page here: https://seescience.org/2025-sees-isrd-joint-meeting/

If you would like to present a poster, please submit an abstract by May 15 here: https://seescience.org/2025-sees-isrd-joint-meeting/abstract-submission/. Student and postdoc presenters will be eligible for lodging and travel support.

Registration will open in early April. In the meantime, please email sees_info@uchicago.edu with any questions.

SEES (Synchrotron Earth and Environmental Science), funded by NSF, aims to advance research and education in synchrotron-based Earth and environmental science to better understand our planet from the atmosphere to the core, to address societally relevant problems, and to train the next generation of scientists. To learn more, please visit: https://seescience.org

ISRD (In-situ Studies of Rock Deformation), also funded by NSF, facilities the integration of beamline technologies with deformation experiments and creates new directions for experimental rock reformation research. To learn more, please visit: https://www.isrdrcn.org
