Hi Yihang, It's exciting to see you have funding for a postdoc. If you would like to also send this message to the SEES users email list you can send it to sees_users@ millenia. cars. aps. anl. gov. It's a moderated list, so you'll get a message

Hi Yihang,
It's exciting to see you have funding for a postdoc. If you would like to also send this message to the SEES users email list you can send it to sees_users@millenia.cars.aps.anl.gov. It's a moderated list, so you'll get a message saying it will need to be
approved, but don't worry about that - someone will approve it so it can go out to the list of about 1800 Earth and environmental science synchrotron users.

Subject: [MSA-talk] Postdoc position in Mineralogy/Low-temp geochemistry at UMKC
Hi,
The Minerals and Interfaces in Terrestrial environment High-Resolution Laboratory (MITHRIL) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) is looking to hire a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the field of Mineralogy and Low-temperature Geochemistry.
We seek a highly motivated individual with a strong background in mineralogy, geochemistry, and X-ray/electron techniques to join the MITHRIL. The primary responsibilities are to conducting original research on either 1)the interactions of minerals and critical
elements in aquatic systems; 2) geochemical impact on biominearlization process; or 3) trace element fractionation in paleoenvironmental proxies using mineral synthesis, X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, synchrotron X-ray and complementary approaches.
The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year, contingent upon satisfactory performance reviews. Additiona duration (after the second year) will depende on the PI's funding situation. The proposed start date is Spring
