Hello,

It might help you if you want to use feff8 in artemis without using the very old one…

Try to use the Installer 0.9.19 if it works for you (It is ok for me under win7 but some people got problems see the associated thread) or the 0.9.13 with update to 0.9.18.2.

These are the last versions allowing you to work directly with feff8 as far as I test … (But you should have the feff8 executable, not included of course).

https://bruceravel.github.io/demeter/     go to “Earlier packages”

It is working fine (but you have to renounce to all the nice features introduced later…), just one workaround :

-          The paths for feff8 files are forgotten each time you close artemis. My tipps: load any atom input file, run atoms then run feff8, close your  project and load the project you want to continue. If not doing so you got an error message and have no paths anymore in the paths list.

Once you know this, this version is perfectly usable with feff8.

I did not report that bug as the option of using feff8 disappears in the following versions and Bruce and Matt are working anyway at the implementation of Feff8.5L as “default”.

Best regards

Kathy

Dear Ifeffit users,

I remember that one of you have posted the method how we can use FEFF8/FEFF9 in Demeter program.

But I cannot find the posting in the archives.

Could you please kindly  let me know how can I find it or directly write again?
