Dear Geoscientists

If you are interested in the application of synchrotron radiation to 21^st century challenges in Earth and environmental science, we invite you to engage with the efforts of the Geoscience Synchrotron Users Group [https://gsecars.uchicago.edu/synchrotron-geoscience/]. We are working to develop a response to NSF’s facility solicitation to develop, manage, operate, and support user access to U.S. synchrotron-based analytical capabilities necessary to advance Earth and environmental sciences research and training. We invite you to our next event, which will be a recorded, public webinar where you can meet the two candidates short-listed to fulfill the role of proposal PI (selected from among 7 candidates who responded to our PI solicitation, and in accordance with our Search Timeline and Processes document).

During this webinar, candidates will present their vision for the new organization and respond to audience questions, time permitting. Following the webinar, there will be a 24-hour window in which the community may submit additional questions and comments to the search committee, via a web-enabled form.
