We would like to announce the first public town hall style Zoom meeting to be held on Monday, November 16, 2-4 PM MST (Denver,USA).

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss NSF's Dear Colleague Letter that was released recently titled "Competition of Management and Operations of synchrotron-hosted analytical capabilities for Earth sciences"  https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2020/nsf20124/nsf20124.jsp.

Among the agenda items to be discussed:

• Vision statement for the new organization
• Defining the charge of a possible steering committee or founders committee
• Naming the new organization
• How to effectively engage the broad earth science community
